Union Printers Home 125th Celebration

Union Printers Home 125th Celebration

Union Printers Home is a historical landmark in Colorado Springs. Often referred to as the “castle on the hill.” We were honored to participate in its 125th anniversary celebration from June 27 – July 1, 2017.

This week long event was packed with events including an address from the Mayor of Colorado Springs, the USAF Academy Band Rampart, photoshoots, spa days, a vintage car show, horse-drawn carriage rides, a wedding and jazz on the lawn. It was a busy week, all to showcase the beautiful facility.

Since our tent was being showcased throughout the entire week, we opted for our 33’x50′ platinum.  This was the perfect option to go with the elegant aesthetic of the building. We wanted to create an open pitch that was versatile enough to adapt to all of the events. The purpose was to primarily protect for the blistering hot weather, while not feeling claustrophobic inside a tent.

We created a two peak floating pitch (had all sides pitched). We had a couple constraints, where we used creative anchors to fasten to the sidewalk for easier handicap access. Our stretch tent had a spectacular view of Pikes Peak!

We loved seeing our tent pitched in front of this gorgeous building! It was great working with Union Printers Home. Stay tuned for more events at UPH!
